Material Inspection Technician

Streck is recruiting for amaterial inspection technicianwithin our quality controldepartment. This position is responsible for sampling, inspection/testing and quality control release of incoming and inventoried materials for use in production (raw materials, packaging materials and printed materials) and for the inspection of incoming purchased equipment and/or components. Also, this position is responsible for ensuring safe storage and identification of chemical retention samples; inspection/release of final product materials including finished product, assays, disks, labels, and packaging materials; and verification of critical product information such as lot number, expiration date, and bar codes.
Requirements include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Self-motivated, dependable, well organized, and be able to communicate effectively and efficiently, both orally and in writing.

  • Must hold excellent problem solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and capable of performing dependable, accurate work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to lift 55 lbs unassisted

  • Basic computer knowledge

  • Ability to perform general arithmetic

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
